July 8

What a day! It was a bit windy and cloudy this morning, so Kristy and I started by clearing out our mustard green patch in the greenhouse. After that, we planted tomato plants around a couple of structures that they can climb on. This took until noon when we went to work out.

After a delicious lunch of leftovers I went to make more comfrey tea (a natural fertilizer) and fix the chicken watering system while Kristy and Bentley finished clearing another part of the greenhouse. I also had to start the banya for tonight because Josh was coming over for it and for dinner.

Dinner consisted of halibut, venison from Kodiak, a salad, and homemade coleslaw. It was delicious! We had a great conversation afterwards and then everyone went to bed for a good night’s rest.
