July 26

The rain seems never ending here. While we could see peeks of the sky this morning, by late morning it was overcast, foggy, and raining. I took some pictures around camp for the manual and then finished the manual on the computer. While Kristy was checking on our new mouse friend Edgar, she came to the sad conclusion he had passed away last night. While this is depressing news, we are glad to have one less vole destroying the gardens.

After lunch Kristy, Ginger and I canned rhubarb and sage juice for kombucha later. We also experimented with hummus and coleslaw recipes. This was a fun activity that kept us out of the rain. Stan worked on making a venison chili for dinner throughout the day and piddled with projects around camp.
Kombucha station where the rhubarb juice will be used to make a delicious beverage.
The evening was uneventful for all, but tomorrow we are making an effort to walk the trails since everyone has been cooped up inside for the past several days.
