This morning was calm yet
dreary, but the end of the day was anything but. In the morning Kristy and I
fed the chickens, did a couple of quick cleaning jobs, and then headed up to
weed the Gothic greenhouse. It was nice and warm inside, and by noon the sun
had come out.
We worked out at the
obstacle course and then went in for lunch. The obstacle course is one of
Ginger’s projects this summer that has been in the works for 5 whole years. She
has designed various stations for lifting weights, climbing, and just having a
bit of fun. There is also a good amount of open space between the pine trees
where one can do some body weight exercises, which is what Kristy and I did.
After lunch, I went to
jump on the trampoline with Bentley. This was fun for a time, but then Kristy
and I went back to weeding the Gothic greenhouse. This took until 5 when Ginger
finally came back. This signaled the time for unloading the skiff to the truck
and then unloading the truck once on main camp.
We had a great time
sitting and recounting each of our adventures in our respective destinations.
Kristy and I made dinner and then we all went to bed for the night after a long
day, especially for Ginger.
