July 14

Today was a rest day. Kristy and I slept in and then spent a restful morning before going out to tidepool. The tide today was -5.8, so there were plenty of cool things to see. We saw crabs, even a king crab, eels, anemones, sea lettuce, sea stars, and a whole lot more. This was a fun time and we ended up spending over an hour looking around.

After this, Kristy decided she wanted to bring Lucy the chicken out of the chicken pen again, so we walked her around camp, including the beach. We went to have lunch next and then headed off for a nap. I read while Kristy napped, and a few hours later we finally emerged to go for a hike. Our hike was fun despite the rain and in the forest it was actually fairly dry.

For dinner we had piroc and salad, simple yet good. To end the day, we watched a couple of movies and then called it a night. Tomorrow Ginger gets back and its time to work again, but for today we relaxed.
