July 12

The sunrise this morning was gorgeous! I woke up at 5:20 AM and had to go outside to get pictures.

Following breakfast I did some small chores around camp and then started some bigger projects. First, I took out the last of the rails on the banya porch. I also started watering one of the greenhouses. Before lunch I also reclaimed the electrical wire I dislodged from the water pipe a few weeks back. The worse part was untangling the stupid stuff.

After lunch I made a door to get into the other chicken coop so collecting eggs was easier. I also weeded more of the outdoor sitting area where we grill out and relax.

While I was doing all this Jordan and Bentley were chopping up wood. For dinner, we grilled shish kabob and had salad from the garden. During dinner Kristy decided it would be fun to let one of the chickens out of the enclosure to see what it would do. I left for 2 minutes and when I got back four chickens were out of the enclosure. They just went around searching for food and at the end of it they all got back in safely, so it was a fun experiment. We ended the night with a funny movie called the bear. It was a cheesy documentary about a young cub that was so bad it was funny. Today was a lot of work but also a lot of fun.
