It felt good to wake up back on the homestead.
Kristy and I slept in until 9:40 AM which is unheard of for us, so we got up
and quickly got ready for the day. In the morning Ginger and I started cleaning
Halibut Hole, one of the cabins on camp. The windows needed a cleaning real
bad, and this took most of the morning.
After a short lunch
Kristy, Ginger, and I hiked the bluff trail so we could put up the trail
markers we made. This was a fun excursion that took all afternoon. We romped
through the woods until we got to Brown’s beach where we collected stinging
nettles for a hair rinse and checked out the beach.
On the way back to the
homestead we found sulfur mushrooms, also called chicken of the woods because
they taste like chicken! This was a cool find and I can’t wait to taste this
delectable mushroom.
