Today
was another morning of errands. I finished updating the blog and Ginger went to
a few more locations in town. By noon we were ready to head out to the skiff to
head home. Before that we grabbed some small raspberry bushes that we are going
to transplant in the garden later this week.

The
weather stayed calm on the way to the skiff which was a promising sign. What we
didn’t expect was to see a momma bear and her three cubs on the road! I wish I
had my good camera out to get shots, but it was still awesome. After they saw
us, they sauntered onto the tidal flats to look for food. It’s sights like
these that make town trips worth the while.
The
skiff didn’t start at first but we quickly figured out the safety on the key
wasn’t attached. Thank goodness it wasn’t a more serious problem! The ride out
was good and it just started to rain when we arrived at the homestead. After
unpacking all the supplies it was time to cook dinner. I cooked an egg skillet
and made a salad. Because of the long trip, I went to bed early. Time to hit
the hay.
