Yet
another gorgeous day. Kodiak is spoiling us. Right away Ginger and I started
canning the remainder of the bone broth before it went bad and pickled some
vegetables.
We
canned the bone broth using a pressure cooker. The broth was warmed up and
canned and then the cans were placed in the pressure cooker. This heats up the
cans using steam to disinfect them and preserve them. The vegetables were
chopped up and then placed in a pickling brine and pressure cooked as well.

This
took until noon when I went to work out. In the afternoon I weed whacked the
remainder of camp and raked up the debris. In the afternoon Ginger and I
realized we needed to leave very early in the morning so we started getting
things ready to go for town. For dinner we made mac n’ cheese from scratch and
salad. Because of our early start tomorrow, its an early bedtime for me!
