Another
sunny day here in Kodiak. In the morning I weed whacked part of lower camp and
moved the clippings to the greenhouses to dry out for a carbon source in our
compost pile. This took until noon when I went to workout for an hour. During
this time I was also watering the Gothic greenhouse because it needed water
almost as badly as the other house did yesterday.
After
lunch I helped pack a lunch and then we all headed over to the neighbor’s for a
late lunch cooked over a fire. It was a beautiful property to visit and the
food was delicious! On the way back home we went to a beach to collect
firewood.
This process was somewhat tedious because each log had to be tested for water and wood rot. After the logs were collected we went back home, unloaded the logs, ate dinner, and went to bed early.
