What
a day! Right off the bat Ginger and I chopped up deer bones with hatchets to
boil for a bone broth. It may sound gross, but it has some incredible health
benefits. After that we went up to the house to make raspberry jam. This was a
fun project that was very simple to do. My favorite part was mashing the
raspberries into a gooey slop.

After
the raspberries were done, I went out to stain the side of Ginger’s house. This
took me from one to five in the afternoon and I even ran out of stain in the
process. Hopefully there will be more stain the next time its nice out here.
Around
5 in the evening a French family that Ginger met in town came out to visit.
They lived on a sailboat and went around the world exploring. Harve and Sophia
had their 10 and 11-year-old kids with them and were excited to see the property.
After getting some greens and fresh eggs to take back to the boat, everyone
went to banya. The family loved this, especially jumping into the cold creek.
Afterwards we had dinner and good conversion until midnight. The family decided
it was time for bed so they went back to their sailboat. This was such a cool
experience and one that I won’t forget.
