After some coffee and
breakfast, the three of us headed into town to get some errands done. Ginger
and I went grocery shopping and also purchased some Xtratuff boots for myself.
We then headed back to Ginger’s father’s welding shop to grab lunch which was a
scrumptious buffet of prime rib, mashed potatoes and gravy, and salad. I was
pleased to find out we were taking a couple of dogs for a walk right after
lunch. The trail we hiked was amazing. The pine trees were huge with bright
green moss hanging from the limbs.
The dogs were tearing up the mud as they
sprinted to and fro amidst the puddles and trees. What a welcome change of pace
from sitting in front of a computer all day!

Once we got back we gave
the dogs back to their respectful owners and dropped off some materials to a
boat owner named Mitch. With a continued onslaught of rain and wind, Stan,
Ginger, and I went back to the house for a nap and some relaxation time.
By the time dinner rolled
around we were so full that we only had salad and scallops, which were to die
for. They were so good, I can’t wait to eat them again. It was yet another
early night following dinner because tomorrow we would finally be heading out
to the homestead.
